Hitchcock's industrial development corporation is a volunteer board of directors that is responsible for providing oversight and strategic direction for Hitchcock's economic development programs. The Hitchcock Industrial Development Corporation's private sector funding is derived from businesses and individuals committed to supporting Hitchcock’s growth. Contractual agreements are in place with the city of Hitchcock, Hitchcock Chamber of Commerce, and the County of Galveston to provide economic development services. These partnerships strengthen Hitchcock’s competitive position.
