The mission of the Finance Department is to effectively manage, safeguard, and optimize the financial resources of our community. Through transparent, accountable, and innovative financial practices, we are committed to ensuring sustainable growth, providing essential services, and enhancing the quality of life for all residents.

Responsibilites
The Department consists of Accounting, Payroll, Treasury, Budget, Purchasing, Utility Billing, and Human Resources. It is responsible for the audit, budget, financial planning, debt management, collections and disbursement for all City funds. It ensures compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations. The Department follows best practice as identified by the Government Finance Officers Association and ensures compliance with the standard accounting procedures for municipal government in Texas.
